INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVICE
Independent Advice is about helping you, either
as a individual or in your business activities. It is impartial advice to:
Help you identify your objectives and set
priorities
Give you an understanding of the tools
available to you in order to solve your problems and maximise your
opportunities
Provide you with objectivity in assessing the various
options available
Recommend solutions to new and changing needs
It is not limited to advice on or the product of only
one company.
To provided you with solutions that meet your needs.
THE VALUE OF OUR SERVICE
We review the whole market and analyse the
performance of the majority of insurance and investment companies.
We evaluate newly introduced products to ensure that
you have the most up-to-date advice.
As Independent Advisers we offer impartial
advice.
Tied agents or company representatives may only
advise on and offer the products of the ONE company that they
represent.
KNOW OUR CLIENT
Before an adviser can give advice he or she
must be able to demonstrate that they are professionally competent and that
they “know their client”. This process usually involves a fairly detailed
meeting - a “fact find” - at which the adviser will ask many questions in
order to acquire sufficient information to ensure that the right advice is
given.
This will involve identifying and prioritising the
possible courses of action for the client and will need to take into account
both objectives and subjective issues. The process may well involve the
adviser traveling to and from the client’s office or residence.
EXISTING ARRANGEMENTS
Part of the service will involve assessing
existing arrangements, including benefits payable from the State and
current or previous pension schemes and advising the client how such existing
arrangements impact upon their position. It may also be necessary for
the adviser, with the client’s permission, to write to others such as
current and former employers, on their behalf.
RESEARCH
The complexity of the services industry is such
that, often, a great deal of energy, time and money is spent in researching
the marketplace. It is important to identify the products that are most
suitable for each client and to set up the arrangements on the best possible
terms. Clients should not underestimate the cost to the adviser of such
research which includes considering various companies in terms of their:
